The class 600 locos were built in the UK, the first 10 coming from Preston with the remainder of the order coming from Vulcan Foundry. Originally numbered 601-665, several were renumbered in the range 671-693 when they were fitted with radio control.

7 locos have been repatriated to the UK, nos 601,653,665,685,687, 625 (690) and 692. Locations are shown in the table
